Furner excels in studies at UMass

Holly Furner of Bainbridge Island is an academic standout at the University of Massachusetts.
Furner, a freshman, was named to the dean’s list at the university for the fall semester and had a 3.92 grade point average.
She is the daughter of Susanne and Andy Furner.
