Bainbridge city council to discuss 2015-2016 preliminary budget

City staff will bring forward an adjusted proposal to include recently-approved changes and additions to the budget.

The Bainbridge Island City Council will discuss the proposed 2015-2016 preliminary budget at this week’s meeting.

City staff will bring forward an adjusted proposal to include recently-approved changes and additions to the budget.

On the list of changes the council has approved are:

The addition of $300,000 to the Annual Roads Program in 2015 to reflect Transportation Benefit District funding;

plans for design and construction of the Waterfront Park in 2015, rather than 2015 and 2016, with planned spending of $1 million in 2015;

and the addition of $100,000 in 2015 and 2016 for affordable housing.

The city council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesdays in city hall.
