Hidden Cove Rd. back open after fallen tree, downed power lines

The city is advising that motorists on Bainbridge Island avoid east Hidden Cove Road at least for the next few hours.

A tree has fallen and taken down power line wires across both lanes.

Puget Sound Energy has been notified but there currently isn’t an estimated time for repair/road clearing.

UPDATE: The tree and wires on Hidden Cove Road have been cleared and the road is now open after a roughly five-hour closure.
