BIMA jazz fest kicks off with special concert

The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art will welcome The Johnaye Kendrick Group for an evening of music to kick off the month-long 2019 Within/Earshot Jazz Festival at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.

Kendrick performs her own compositions and fresh interpretations of beloved jazz and pop standards. A festival opening reception will begin at 6:30, with the auditorium opening at 7 p.m.

This year is the third annual Within/Earshot Jazz Festival, a month-long celebration of all things jazz produced in partnership with the legendary Earshot Jazz, which includes concerts, lectures, film, and more.
