Big crowd for LAX Under the Lights

More than 55 girls gathered at Bainbridge High Stadium for the annual LAX Under the Lights night.

It was a frigid but fun night for the girls on Sunday, Dec. 2, for the fourth annual lacrosse event, but organizers said the bright lights, clear skies and danceable music made for a warm and inviting evening.

The girls — from ages 5 through 13 — took part in the event led by BHS’ legendary high school girls lacrosse team and current state champions. Varsity captain Nina Davis and her teammates put together a program of fun and games, including measuring the speed of shots on goal and learning how to perform draws.

All participants received T-shirts and a chance to test out lacrosse before the spring season begins.
