Fishers get tips for success
Published 3:30 pm Monday, February 26, 2018
Bainbridge Island Fly Fishers will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Seabold Hall.
Captain Justin Waters, owner of All-Waters Fly Fishing, will discuss the major factors to finding fishing success on Hood Canal. He will discuss water temperatures, seasons and bait choices that are important to staying successful while fishing Hood Canal.
Hood Canal is a unique section of Puget Sound that varies greatly in water temperature, tides and bait throughout the seasons. The sea-run cutthroat populations are uniquely strong in this giant estuary due the light fishing pressure, protected spawning streams and massive baitfish populations. Bring a fly or $1 and participate in a raffle to win a nice selection of flies. All adults and families are invited to attend.
Seabold Hall is at 14450 Komedal Road NE.
