Art lovers have only one last week to see “Kindred Spirits” from artist Amy D’Apice at Bainbridge Arts & Crafts.

The current show at the Winslow gallery comes to an end Sunday, Oct. 2.

Also featured this month at BAC are benches by Birgit Josenhans in September.

From Camden, New Jersey to Chiang Mai, Thailand, D’Apice spreads out to explore visual commonalities across seemingly disparate Eastern and Western locales. By revealing the beauty in forgotten spaces like alleys, backs of buildings and abandoned lots, this passionate, expansive exhibition of new paintings reminds us that we are more alike than not.

Josenhans creates her own sense of place with benches ingeniously crafted in wood, river rock and resin. Many bear the names of the region’s great bodies of water. Sit, rest and enjoy the view.

Bainbridge Arts & Crafts is located at 151 Winslow Way East. For more information, call 206-780-9500 or visit www.theislandgallery.net.
