Disclosure needed on conflict of interest | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

The chamber of commerce does a lot of important work on this island. I am a former member of the chamber myself.

But the chamber made a serious error in voicing a strong opinion on an important issue without disclosing that PSE is a financial contributor to the chamber and that the government relations representative of PSE sits on the board of directors.

Please either explain or own up to what appears to be an undisclosed conflict of interest.

I am an agnostic on the power issue. But I do believe in honesty and full disclosure.
