Tryouts coming for BHS cheer team

SEATTLE – The Bainbridge High varsity baseball team claimed its second straight win last Thursday, a 7-0 shutout against Nathan Hale, further distancing them from the three-loss slump that dampened the delayed start of the season.

Following the disheartening 5-4 opening day loss to O’Dea, the Spartans smashed Rainier Beach 15-1 on the road Wednesday, March 30. It was the team’s second win of the year. Then, the very next day, the BHS squad scored the shutout over Nathan Hale before moving on to face off against Franklin High Friday, April 1.

The second win earned for the Spartans an even overall season record of 3-3, and the eighth spot in the Metro standings.
