BHS track team brings home big finish

SEATTLE – More than a few speedy Spartans brought home top finishes from the March 31 BHS/Ingraham/Roosevelt track meet at the Northwest Athletic Complex.
On the girls’ side, Taylee Undem claimed the number-one finish in the 100-meter dash with 12.95, and Anika Lesko was second overall in the 200-meter dash with 27.29.
In the 400-meter event, Aerin Amore claimed first place for Bainbridge with 1:04.25. Anna Scott finished in 2:39.04 in the 800-meter event for third place. Bainbridge’s best in the 1600-meter dash was Julia Denlinger (5:59.60).
Jianna Kaufman took home second place in the 100-meter hurdles, as did Audrey Weaver in the 300-meters.
The Bainbridge team of Lillian Aduddell, Maria Flynn, Sarah Lucioni and Natalie Taylor earned third place with 55:64 in the 4×100 relay. Taylee Undem, Audrey Weaver, Anika Lesko and Aerin Amore claimed first place with 1:49.81 in the 4×200 relay.
Grace Hall was number one in the shot put. Vega Piper-Tremain earned third in the discus. Sarah Lucioni was the best high jumper of the day, and Emma Chee likewise took first in the pole vault. Amy Bourmatnov was seventh in the long jump, and Grace Hall second overall in the triple.
For the boys, James Payne claimed the number one spot in the 400-meter dash with 53:04, followed closely by Evan Kimmerlein (54.32). Carter Hall and Sebastian Belkin were another one-two punch for Bainbridge, claiming first and second place, respectively, in the 1600-meter dash.
Wyatt Longley was second overall (2:00.56) in the 800-meter dash. Eric Jung was the best of Bainbridge in the 100-meter varsity finals, finishing third at 11.61. Luke Marshall placed fifth (25.38) in the 200-meter varsity finals.
Ben Scott finished second in the 300-meter hurdles event. Joe Tabisola was third overall in the shot put and Alex Cook was fourth in the discus, while Andrew Owen earned the fifth spot in the high jump. Bo Baird finished second overall in the pole vault. Nathan McVay was number three in the long jump.
