Two new offerings at BAC open in April

Two new exhibitions at Bainbridge Arts & Crafts will offer visitors a wide array of artistic treasures throughout the month of April.
“Lost and Found: Putting the Pieces Together” features pieces made from doll parts, mouse traps, abandoned nests and scrap metal. It’s the magic of assemblage on display. See how artists transform discarded, disjointed and fully disconnected objects into intriguing, cohesive and sometimes terribly clever sculptural vignettes. Participants include Barbara Helen Berger, Diane Haddon, Steve Parmelee and Hidde Van Duym.
Kathleen McKeehen, an award-winning painter and natural science illustrator, brings flora and fauna to life on paper in “Kathleen McKeehen: Collections,” a collection of her detailed watercolors.
There will be a special artists’ reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 1.
