Bainbridge blotter | No clues on mystery dumper

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 18
3:03 p.m. An 81-year-old woman on Sunrise Drive NE reported a burglary. She said someone had entered her unlocked home and taken her wallet.
She looked all through the house and was unable to find it. It was last seen on a dresser by the front door.
The wallet was from Macy’s and valued at $200. Inside was $400 in cash, a check book, credit cards, concert tickets, a key to her house and vehicle and other items.
TUESDAY, NOV. 17
9:08 a.m. A woman in the 7800 block of Beverly Lane said someone dumped one to two wheelbarrows’ worth of debris in her driveway.
The debris included dirty wood chips, gravel, small pieces of bamboo, blue gloves and a some used sanding discs.
An officer looked through the debris but could not find anything that would lead to a suspect.
The woman emailed police the next day to say another pile of debris had been dumped.
THURSDAY, NOV. 12
7:19 a.m. A 61-year-old Poulsbo woman hit a coyote on Highway 305 near Hidden Cove Road.
An officer found the coyote in the middle of the highway just south of the intersection. The animal was taken to the side of the road, badly injured but still alive.
The officer put the coyote down with one shot from his service weapon.
The woman was not hurt and her vehicle was not damaged.
