BAINBRIDGE – Cammy Rouser, a junior on the Bainbridge Spartans girls swimming and diving team, has been named as one of the Athletes of the Week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.

Rouser, a diver for the Spartans, was honored for her achievements in swimming and diving last week.

She was one of 12 varsity athletes recognized for outstanding performance — the WIAA chooses a male and a female from each of the six classifications each week — to win the Athlete of the Week award.

Rouser won the Metro League Diving championship, held on Oct. 24. Her score of 415.15 also broke a nine-year-old school record.

In recognition of their accomplishment, each Athlete of the Week winner receives a congratulatory letter from WIAA Executive Director Mike Colbrese, a commemorative WIAA State Athlete of the Week T-shirt, and a certificate.

Winners are also posted to the WIAA website at www.wiaa.com.
