Spartans take swim win at home against Chief Sealth, West Seattle

BAINBRIDGE – With one-two-three wins in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly, the Spartan girls swimmers soaked Chief Sealth and West Seattle in a Metro meet late last week at the Bainbridge Aquatic Center.
Bainbridge finished first with 121, followed by Chief Sealth (48) and West Seattle (42).
Sammie Sinopole won the 200-yard free for BHS in a Metro-qualifying time of 2:17.76.
Fellow Spartan Julia Lapin claimed second with 2:21.94, also better than the Metro mark (2:32.99).
Vivian Powell took third place for Bainbridge (2:35.40).
In other races, BI’s Grace Ande finished first in the 200-yard IM, with a district-qualifying time of 2:33.91.
The Spartans won first, second and third places in the 100-yard fly.
Julia Lapin was first in 1:12.26, with Ana Bucy in a close second (1:12.56) and Caitlyn Munter, third (1:15.87).
In diving, Cammy Rouser again took first, with a score of 174.85.
