BAINBRIDGE – Bainbridge played Franklin like a fiddle and delivered a 8-0 win in girls varsity soccer late last week that sounded like music to the Spartans’ ears.
BHS called the tunes from start to finish in last Thursday’s Metro matchup at Memorial Stadium.
Annika Lesko scored first for the Spartans on a pass from Kamie Coryell in the fourth minute, and Lesko converted again in the seventh minute (Audrey Marcum) to give Bainbridge a 2-0 lead.
Then it was time for the unstoppable Kamryn Coryell to add a few refrains.
Coryell, on a pass from Lesko, split the posts in the 10th minute and added her second goal of the game in the 24th minute (Mackenzie Chapman assist) and Bainbridge was ahead, 4-0.
Four other Spartans scored in the contest before the hit parade ended.
In the 38th minute, Sophia Hagstromer netted a goal with a pass from Allie Berry, and teammate Mackenzie Chapman tacked on a solo shot in the 47th minute.
Catherine Carley (Jessica Morgan assist) then put Bainbridge up 7-0 in the 64th minute.
Kate Mackin closed out the scoring for BHS with a goal with one minute left to play.
