GAME SCORE | Spartans fall to Seagulls in prep football

The Everett Seagulls soared over the Bainbridge Spartans 49-20 in a non-league matchup Saturday in Everett.

Everett jumped ahead 6-0 on a fumble recovery and run with just under 10 minutes to play in the first quarter.

After another turnover — a Seagulls’ interception on the Spartan end of the field – Everett found the end zone again on a 14-yard touchdown pass and went up 14-0 with 6:31 left in the first quarter.

The Spartans answered with a rushing touchdown to cut the Seagulls’ advantage to 14-7, but Everett scored again to lead 20-7 at the end of the first quarter.

Everett connected on a touchdown pass for a 28-7 lead at halftime.
