Congressman Derek Kilmer will host a telephone town hall next week for 6th District residents.
It will be the seventh time that Rep. Kilmer, a Gig Harbor Democrat, has conducted a dial-in talk with constituents.
The telephone town hall is 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26. Participants will have the opportunity to ask Kilmer a question or leave a message with their questions or comments.
“I hope folks are able to join my next telephone town hall,” Kilmer said. “I work for you, and I want to make sure that I continue to be accessible and accountable to you.”
Residents of the 6th District who would like to join the call can sign up at http://kilmer.house.gov/contact/townhall or send an email to kilmer.teletownhall@mail.house.gov with their name and phone number by 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22.
Residents who sign up before the deadline will receive a phone call at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26 inviting them to the town hall.
Kilmer is starting his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives. During his first two years in Congress, he had more than 10 in-person town halls across the region, in addition to town halls via the phone and internet.
By the end of next week, the congressman’s staff said Kilmer will have completed six town halls in just over a week – with meetings in Tacoma, Port Townsend, Belfair, Poulsbo, Port Angeles and Westport.
