Stringing them along: A puppet show with Mary Shaver

Puppeteer Mary Shaver, above, works to prepare the lines of the Shoemaker before the start of her recent puppet show at the Bainbridge Public Library. The show “The Shoemaker & the Elf” went off without a hitch before a capacity crowd of enthusiastic youngsters.

Shaver, billed as a Puppeteer Extraordinaire, is an award-winning puppeteer. Her productions are seen from universities to preschools, libraries to museums, from the United States to Europe.
