Film buffs watch classic James Stewart comedy

The Island Film Group will meet for a movie at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 at the Bainbridge Public Library. The group meets on the second Wednesday of the month for free films and discussion.

This month’s film is “The Shop Around the Corner.”

The 1940 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film was directed by Ernst Lubitsch and stars James Stewart, Margaret Sullavan and Frank Morgan. The movie is unrated and runs 96 minutes.
