Saturday’s game score: Lakeside beats Bainbridge in football

The Lakeside Lions beat the Bainbridge Spartans 33-14 in a Metro Mountain Division matchup Saturday on Parsons Field in Seattle.

Lakeside took a 7-0 lead at 8:12 in the first quarter on a 67-yard pass play.

Bainbridge marched back down field but fumbled the ball on the 1-yard line.

On the Spartans’ next possession, Bainbridge scored on a fourth-and-one play and tied the game at 7-7 at the end of the first quarter.

The Spartans took a 14-7 lead in the second, but a Lions’ score with 4:30 left to play in the half again knotted the score, 14-all.

Lakeside scored on another pass play roughly two minutes later to move in front, 21-14, before halftime.

The Lions scored on a 34-yard run for the game’s final touchdown at the end of an turnover-filled third quarter.
