Funeral service set for Friday for Coach Anderson

A funeral service and reception will be held for Mike Anderson from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Our Lady of the Star Sea Church in Bremerton.

The service will by hosted by Mike’s two daughters, Kendra and Hanna Anderson, and is for friends, family and anyone who wants to come show their respect.

Those wishing to attend should RSVP so the church has a head count for food at https://mikeandersonfuneral.eventbrite.com.

Mike Anderson, a longtime teacher and tennis coach at Bainbridge High, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, Sept. 7.

A Facebook page where students, teachers and the community can post photos and memories has also been set up at www.facebook.com/Mikeandersonfuneral.

Our Lady of the Star Sea Church is located at 1513 Sixth St., Bremerton.

A memorial for Anderson will also be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 in the commons at Bainbridge High.
