TRAVEL ADVISORY | Ferry Tacoma loses propulsion power, calls for tugboat

The ferry MV Tacoma lost propulsion power just before reaching Bainbridge Island during the 12:20 p.m. sailing from Seattle on Tuesday, July 29.

The ferry is currently outside Eagle Harbor. A shipboard announcement informed passengers that the vessel had lost power and a tugboat had been called for assistance.

The Tacoma lost power shortly before 1 p.m. as it was about five minutes from sailing into Eagle Harbor.
