Bainbridge Island’s biggest party now has its very own website.

The 47th Annual Grand Old Fourth of July Celebration, produced by the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce, is being featured on a new website designed by event sponsor SpiderLily Web Design.

The website — www.GrandOld4th.com — features a full schedule of events for Bainbridge’s big event, plus activities, event maps, parade and car show applications, lists of sponsors and vendors, and lots of photos from past years. A FAQ page and information about parking and shuttle buses are also included.

The site is optimized for desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.

Chamber President and CEO Rex Oliver said the site will be very helpful to this year’s event-goers.

“Last year we had a huge spike on our website on the Fourth – more than 4,000 page views. And almost 60 percent were on mobile devices,” Oliver noted.

This year’s celebration on Independence Day kicks off with the traditional pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. July 4 in the parking lot of Town & Country.

The street fair opens at 9 a.m., and the mile-long parade begins at 1 p.m.

Fireworks, provided by Bainbridge Fireworks, will be at dusk over Eagle Harbor.
