Lions slip by Spartans in boys Metro soccer

Lakeside escaped with a slim 2-1 win over the Spartans in boys varsity soccer Tuesday at Bainbridge Stadium.
The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for Bainbridge in Metro League play.
The Spartans led early after a third minute-goal by Peter Fawley, but the Lions leapt back into the contest a minute later with a goal by Lakeside’s Charlie Devine.
The Lions took the lead with three minutes left in the contest after a score by Seyi Adekoya.
The win kept Lakeside perfect this year at 9-0 overall (5-0 Metro).
Bainbridge fell to 5-2 overall.
