Bainbridge water polo team notches first win

The Spartans sank Inglemoor 18-4 in a convincing win at home in girls water polo.

The March 15 match was the home opener for the Spartans, and the victory improved Bainbridge to 1-1.

The Spartans unleashed a balanced attack against Inglemoor.

All eight players who suited up for the game logged at least one goal and one steal.

Celia Chaussable and Amanda Sellman paced Bainbridge with four goals each.

Chaussable also had two assists, one steal and one exclusion drawn for the Spartans, while Sellman added three steals.

Emily Carson finished with two goals, two assists, three steals and two exclusions drawn.

Evelyn Newman had two goals and three steals for BHS, while Julia Griffiths contributed two goals, one steal and six saves and Madeline Arends netted two goals and one steal.

Other Spartans adding to the all-out effort included Jessica Peterson with one goal and one steal, and Kayla Estes with one goal, one steal and five saves.
