Bainbridge shares details on police chief finalists

The city of Bainbridge Island has released short biographies of the five finalists for police chief.
The five finalists are:
Lt. Richard Daniels, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles, Calif.
Daniels has 35 years of law enforcement experience. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in PreLegal Studies and a Master of Public Administration from University of Southern California. He is a graduate of the United States Naval War College and a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
Daniels retired from the United States Coast Guard in the grade of Commander.
Harry Glidden, District 2 Executive Officer, Aurora Police Department, Aurora, Colo.
Glidden has 31 years experience in law enforcement. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Management from National American University and a Masters of Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
Lt. Richard Goerling, Hillsboro Police Department, Hillsboro, Ore.
Goerling has 17 years experience in law enforcement. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Portland State University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix. He is also a commander in the Coast Guard.
Major Matthew Hamner, Chief’s Executive Officer, Indianapolis Police Department, Indianapolis, Ind.
Hamner has 23 years experience in law enforcement. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana University and a Maters of Criminal Justice and Public Safety from Indiana University. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
Bryce Johnson, Assistant Bureau Commander, Salt Lake City Police Department, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Johnson is a veteran law enforcement officer with 20 years experience in policing. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Utah State University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Brigham Young University.
