Tennis | Bainbridge bests Eastside Catholic and O’Dea/Holy Names

Bainbridge junior Sasha Carter made quick work in her Metro League debut as the Spartans defeated Eastside Catholic 10-1 Thursday.
Carter, who did not compete for the Spartans due to a WIAA transfer rule last season, defeated Mira Murali 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.
Friday, the Spartans defeated O’Dea and Holy Names 8-3 and improved to 2-1.
Grace Porter won the only girls singles point at No. 2 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Donna Hahn.
Carter fell to defending 3A state champion Natalie Allen 6-3, 6-4.
The boys singles players swept their matches, as senior Dylan Skeffington went the full three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
The Spartans won four of the five doubles points, with the mixed doubles team of Jenna Knell and Ian Saksa winning their second straight mixed doubles contest.
