Tennis | Bainbridge drops season opener to Seattle Prep

Junior Grace Porter won the Spartans’ only point in the team’s 10-1 defeat at Seattle Prep Monday.

Porter, a junior, defeated Katie Beyer 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.

The Spartans’ remaining five singles players were all defeated in straight sets.

The No. 1 girls doubles team of Kate Jameson and Kelly Zwicker battled from a set down but fell in three sets, 7-6(5), 4-6,6-4.

Bainbridge (1-0) takes on Eastside Catholic on the road at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday before its home opener at 3:30 p.m. Friday against Holy Names and O’Dea.
