Boys basketball
Bainbrdge capitalized on a 17-9 third-quarter run to defeat Nathan Hale 62-59 Friday.
The Spartans, competing without seniors Ryan Burris and Jimmy Baggett, were led by Will DiIorio with 20 points.
Chris Bell scored 12 while Eric Raustein and Michael Stevenson added 9 points apiece.
Bainbridge (5-3 in the Metro, 8-4 overall) takes on Lakeside (4-5 in the Metro, 6-5 overall) at home at 7 p.m. today.

Girls basketball
Bainbridge lost to Nathan Hale 45-29 Friday.
Kasondra Totura scored 11 points and Rebecca Sharar pulled down nine rebounds. Morgan Moniz added four rebounds and four assists, and Grace Kenyon had four steals and three points.
The Spartans will host Lakeside at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Gymnastics
The Spartan gymnastics team took first place in a six-team meet Saturday.
Bainbridge finished with 156.35 points to North Kitsap’s 142.35. Shorewood placed third with 125.7, and Kingston edged Shorecrest (115.9) for fourth place with 119.15. The Bellingham School District placed sixth with 72.5.
The Spartans have a home meet against West Seattle and Chief Sealth at 6 p.m. Friday.
Wrestling
Bainbridge hosted the Island Invitational Saturday, placing 12th out of 13 teams with 55 points. North Mason won the meet with 229.5 points.
Alec Greiwe placed fifth in the 112-pound weight class by recording a fall in just 38 seconds.
At 119, Bryce MacDonald placed seventh in a 9-5 decision.
Alex Hoover placed sixth wrestling at 125, while Caleb Samson recorded a pin after two minutes, 27 seconds to take seventh in the 130-pound weight class.
Senior Brenden Henesy placed recorded a pin in 36 seconds to take seventh place in the 145-pound weight class and Karl Hunt, wrestling at 189, recorded a pin in the third period.
Bainbridge will compete against Nathan Hale on the road at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
