Boys basketball

The Spartans defeated Eastside Catholic 54-42 in their first Metro League game Tuesday.

Will DiIorio led with 27 points and nine assists.

Bainbridge takes on top-ranked Rainier Beach at 8 p.m. Friday.

Wrestling

In their first double dual meet of the season, Bainbridge defeated Forks 54-42 and lost to Kingston 63-16.

Junior Corey Touchette — wrestling at 171 — recorded two falls.

Bainbridge hosts Lakeside at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Swimming

The Bainbridge swim team fell to 1-2 this season with a 108-72 loss to reigning 2A state champion Sehome Tuesday.

The Spartans have recorded eight state qualifying times so far and will swim against Nathan Hale on the road at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
