Bainbridge goes cold at worst possible time.
SEATTLE – The Bainbridge boys basketball team kept it close, but a poor shooting quarter and a hot hand by several players earned them a 69-50 loss against the Skyline Spartans in a 3A Sea-King District 2 game.
Caleb Davis opened things up with a three, but Skyline fought back and took a 15-10 lead.
Ben Eisenhardt and Davis combined to put Bainbridge up by two, but Skyline wouldn’t go away, fighting back from a deficit to head into the locker room up by two.
In the third quarter, Bainbridge scored twice on field goals by Mike Walsh and Fling while Skyline scored 20 points between the third and fourth quarters to put the game out of range.
Fling finally broke the slump with a three-point play at the 4:18 mark of the fourth.
He, Jesse Powell and Will Dilorio made things interesting with three three pointers, but Skyline connected at the line to seal the win.
Fling led all scorers with 19 points.
Bainbridge finishes their season at 14-10.
