Miracle is an overused term in sports.

So, instead, let me ask you this: Do you believe in surprises?

You do now, if you were at the Spartans’ game against King’s Way Christian Friday, Sept. 15.

Last year, the Bainbridge High varsity football team was handily defeated 52-28 by the King’s Way Christian Knights in the third game of the season.

This year, not so much.

The Spartans scored their first football win of the year – breaking a six-game losing streak (four straight losses last year and two this year) – Friday, Sept. 15, edging their overall season record to 1-2.

The Review’s Luciano Marano was the field to capture all the action. His favorite shots are collected here.
