Spartans short 45-18 against CK wrestlers

The Bainbridge High varsity wrestling team suffered a 45-18 loss against the visitors from Central Kitsap High Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Double forfeits negated the 138- and 285-pound brackets, while BHS claimed just one forfeit win and CK racked up three.

Three Spartan grapplers emerged victorious: 120-pounder Hiram Topham won a 13-9 decision against Keegan Paschal; Doug Takada (152) pinned Connor Olson in 4:40; and Tyler Pickett scored a 19-12 decision against Caleb Sinski.

The rest of the wins were CK boons.

Conrad Bellon (106) won a 6-2 decision against Garrett Swanson; Mano Diego (113) pinned Harrison Cate in 45 seconds; Gabe Back (126) pinned Indigo Weappa in 1:11; Mark McKee (145) pinned Oleg Maguire in 1:58; and Adam Fox (160) pinned Louis Turri in 3:03.
