Spartan shutout continues baseball streak

A 10-0 shutout win against Rainier Beach continued the latest winning streak for the Bainbridge High varsity baseball team Monday, April 15 at home.

It was the island squad’s third win in a row, following a loss to Lakeside on April 8, and left the Spartans with an overall season record of 12-3.

Their league record is 9-3, and they are ranked third place in the Metro standings, tied with Eastside Catholic and Ballard.

Lakeside remains in the top spot (16-1 overall; 12-0 in conference), and O’Dea in second place (15-2; 10-2).

The Spartans sole remaining home game is slated for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20 against Bonney Lake.

There are only four games remaining on the regular season schedule.
