Rope skippers snag high marks at BI tourney

BAINBRIDGE – Many impressive rope jumping performances were showcased at the recent 23rd annual Bainbridge Island Invitational, hosted by the Bainbridge Island Rope Skippers and featuring jumpers from British Columbia and across Washington and Oregon.

Some of the best by the Bainbridge team included two first-place finishes in the 30-second speed event: Camille Zaro in the 11-12 division, and Georgia Lou Martic in the under 10.

The freestyle pair of Camille Zaro and Mia Hale also claimed first place.

The first-place spot in the Double Dutch Freestyle event was snagged by Marina Correa, Alice Kimzey and Trinity Schou.

Serena Johnson and Claire Dumouchel took second place in the Pairs Double-Under event, and the team of Marina Correa, Bianca Daniels, Harper Naon and Trinity Schou claimed second place in the four-person speed relay.

Natalie Bennett and Anna Bjur brought home a third-place prize in the single rope pairs freestyle event as well.
