Bishop Blanchet blanks BHS

SEATTLE – The Braves broke open a scoreless softball game between Bishop Blanchet and Bainbridge with two runs in the fourth quarter.

Tacking on another run in the bottom of the fourth and it was all the Braves needed to win the Metro League matchup, 3-0, at Seattle’s Lower Woodland Park.

Gianna Marchese powered the Bishop Blanchet offense with a double, RBI and one run.

Malia Peato pitched for Bainbridge and gave up four hits.

The loss was the first for the Spartans in Metro girls varsity fastpitch, and put BHS at 0-1 in Metro action (2-1 overall).
