Polly Crider

August 31, 1941 – April 7, 2016

Polly Crider, our beloved “Grand Pocky” passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at her home on Bainbridge Island, Washington. She was born on Aug. 31, 1941. She was a resident of Bainbridge Island for more than 25 years and a familiar face in the community.

Polly lived many places in her life but she always considered Bainbridge Island her forever home. She loved the mountains, the water and even the Northwest rain. Her recipes are impossible to duplicate. Her infectious laugh, sense of humor and wonderful personality will be missed. She was a mother to many and a best friend to us all.

Polly is survived by her children, Laura Harrison of Bainbridge Island, Eric Crider of Florida and Jennifer Ricklin of Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kasey Harrison of Seattle, Megan Woolwine of Maryland and Nathan Ricklin of Colorado. Polly also leaves behind her great-granddaughter Roxanna Ricklin of Colorado and her brothers, John and Tom Hooper of Bainbridge Island.

We welcome her family and friends for a celebration of her life at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church, 105 Winslow Way, Bainbridge Island. A reception will follow at the church. Please sign the online guest book for the family at www.cookfamilyfuneralhome.com.
