Signups start for Haunted Hayride at Battle Point Park

Registration has started for this year’s Haunted Hayride at Battle Point Park.

Kids of all ages can ride through the “haunted” pumpkin-lined trails of Battle Point Park, where ghosts, zombies, mummies, skeletons and even historic figures emerge from the shadows. The evening includes crafts and games before the hayride, and warm up afterward with cider and cookies. Fun The Haunted Hayride event runs from Monday, Oct. 22 through Wednesday, Oct. 24; hayrides leave every 10 minutes starting at 6 p.m. with the last ride leaving at 8:50.

Pre-registration is required; register online at www.biparks.org or call the park district office at 206-842-2306. The cost is $8/person ages 3 and up (includes tax), while ages 2 and under ride for free.

Enter the park from the west side, off of Battle Point Drive.

Park officials note there are many volunteer opportunities available for the event, including pumpkin carving, acting or joining the crew to help out. Contact Ashley Miller at ashleym@biparks.org or 206-842-2306, ext. 129 for more information.
