Dispose of unwanted prescriptions Saturday at the Bainbridge Island Police Department

The Bainbridge Island Police Department is accepting prescription medications for disposal from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22.

During the one-day event, community members can stop by the police station at 625 Winslow Way East to dispose of their unwanted medications as part of the Drug Enforcement Agency’s nationwide “Drug Take-Back Initiative.” Those who cannot attend the event are reminded not to dispose of medications in the trash or by flushing, but rather to wait for the spring collection.

The police department will not accept needles at this event.
