Acclaimed mystery writer to visit BI for Bookfest

Elizabeth George, a No. 1 New York Times bestselling author, will headline Summer Bookfest – an annual literary festival held in June at Eagle Harbor Book Company.

For the fourth straight year, the Winslow shop and Seattle7Writers will host this gathering of Pacific Northwest authors and readers to celebrate writing, reading while raising money for literary causes.

At the event, which takes place from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, George will sign her newest novel, “The Punishment She Deserves,” a masterful work of suspense with her beloved detectives Havers and Lynley. Plus, she will also sign “Write Away: One Writer’s Approach to the Novel,” her book on writing.

George is a member of Seattle7Writers, a group of over 80 Pacific Northwest writers.

Seattle7Writers supports literacy organizations and creates connections between writers, readers, booksellers, and librarians. For a complete list of author members visit Seattle7Writers.org.

George will be joined at Eagle Harbor Book Company by 19 other authors who specialize in categories ranging from literary fiction, food and travel, crime, nonfiction, historical, children’s’ stories and more, including Kathleen Alcalá, Anastacia-Reneé, Bruce Barcott, Carol Cassella, Megan Chance, J. Anderson Coats, Andrea Dunlop, Waverly Fitzgerald, Mike Lawson, Jarret Middleton, Donna Miscolta, Kevin O’Brien, Anna Quinn, Claudia Rowe, Laurel Saville, Suzanne Selfors, Anca L.
