On Dec. 29, Peninsula Community Health Services opened a new clinic in downtown Winslow on Bainbridge Island.

The clinic provides primary care and behavioral health services, along with navigator support to help patients connect with resources, coordinate care, and navigate the healthcare system, per the PCHS website. It features four exam rooms and one procedure room.

PCHS CEO Jennifer Kreidler-Moss said she’s excited for PCHS to be able to serve 1,000 current BI patients, without them having to drive to Kingston or Poulsbo clinics. The new clinic has seen roughly 45 patients in the last two weeks, Kreidler-Moss said.

Between the providers, PCHS will be able to serve roughly 2,100 patients or 14,000 visits each year. PCHS operates 12 traditional medical and nine dental clinics across Kitsap, Mason, and rural Pierce counties. PCHS also has a mobile fleet and several co-located clinics.

Regarding future BI offerings, Kreidler-Moss said PCHS will evaluate the need for dental services if state capital dollars become available and community need and support exist for expansion.
