Kevin O’Halloran holds a sign decorated with a dress from his 16-month-old daughter Emily while listening to speakers at Saturday’s Families Belong Together rally in Town Square next to Bainbridge Island City Hall.

More than 200 people attended the rally, held as a benefit for KIND (Kids In Need of Defense), an organization that provides legal assistance to unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children during their deportation proceedings.

Hundreds of protests and rallies against President Trump’s immigration policies took place Saturday, in all 50 states.
