BHS principal arrested in Poulsbo for alleged DUI

Bainbridge High School principal Kristina Rodgers was arrested in Poulsbo Jan. 12 for allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol with a minor in the car, who is believed to be her child, per a Poulsbo Police Department incident report.

The arrest occurred at the intersection of Noll Road and NE Kevos Pond Drive around 10 p.m. Rodgers was released from custody Jan. 13, per the Kitsap County Jail roster, and is facing charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, and reckless endangerment – domestic violence. Bainbridge Island School District communications spokesperson Bridget Lockett confirmed Rodgers’ arrest.

“Out of care and concern for the Rodgers family, we ask for your patience and respect for privacy at this time while we work to gather additional information regarding this situation,” Lockett said in a statement. “Because this has directly impacted a family, we are proceeding thoughtfully. At the same time, we remain committed to accountability and determining the appropriate next steps.”

Rodgers has served as BHS principal since 2021 and was previously principal of Roosevelt High School in Seattle.
