Kauika Peleti scored two touchdowns as the Bainbridge Spartans took care of business, defeating the Chief Sealth Seahawks 61-6 Friday night at Memorial Stadium.

The junior running back had scores of 21 yards and 16 yards as Bainbridge scored 35 points in the first quarter.

Dane Hiett had an 18-yard touchdown run, but the two-point conversion failed as tight end Bryan Gilbreath couldn’t handle a pass from Quinton Agosta.

The two hooked up for a 45-yard touchdown in the first quarter while Bryan’s brother, Dayton Gilbreath had a five-yard touchdown run.

In the second quarter, Patrick Wauters had a five-yard touchdown run.

Kyle Szarzynski had a five-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Bainbridge rounded out the scoring when linebacker Kiyle Playter scored by returning an interception 58 yards for his first varsity score.

Sophomore running back Mario McLaughlin scored on a 12-yard touchdown run.

The Seahawks were playing with only 17 players due to eligibility issues.

Quarterback Daniel Davis went down in the third with a neck injury. He was able to move his arms and legs and was taken to Harborview for precautionary measures.

Chief Sealth scored their only touchdown on a 10-yard pass from Davis to Schulyer Taylor.

The Seahawks were held to just 138 total yards.

Bainbridge (3-0) travels to Eastside Catholic next Friday. They return home Sept. 29 for a crucial game against O’Dea.
