Bainbridge blotter | Where’s my truck?

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

THURSDAY, DEC. 6

2:08 p.m. A 55-year-old Bainbridge Island man reported his truck, a 1997 red Dodge Ram 1500, had been stolen from outside a bar in the Island Village Shopping Center parking lot.

The man said he’d been at the bar drinking the day before, and left at about 10 p.m. the previous night on foot for a nearby hotel. He left his truck in the parking lot.

The next day, he returned and found it missing.

He searched the immediate area, and could not find it. He called a friend who he thought may have borrowed it, but that person had not seen the truck. He called 911 to ask if a truck had been towed from that area, but none had.

The man still had the keys to the truck, but said there was a second emergency set attached to the inside of the bed via a magnet.

A report was filed.
