SATURDAY, NOV. 2

5:08 p.m. A 16-year-old Bainbridge Island girl was injured after crashing her bicycle while traveling west on Wing Point Way from Cherry Avenue, going downhill toward Ferryview Lane.

A 14-year-old Bainbridge boy, who was riding a longboard beside her, said the girl became nervous as a car passed them and lost control of her bike.

She crashed at the bottom of the hill on Ferryview Lane and hit her head on the pavement.

The girl was unable to communicate clearly at the time of the accident and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The girl’s guardian was contacted after she was transported and her bike was taken by police for safekeeping.
