Thanks for your work for the common good | Letter for the editor

To the editor:

One of the most inspiring things in life is seeing people work for the common good.

One recent example is Olaf Ribeiro and the many generous donors who succeeded in saving an old heritage tree at Blakely school which the Bainbridge School District was about to exterminate.

A huge thank you to Olaf and all the caring individuals who gave generously to this effort.

You not only saved a critical tree but you restored a tiny bit of our belief in humanity.

We owe you one!
