Michael Douglas Junge passed away Aug. 2, 2016.
Mike was born Nov. 24, 1942, and he grew up on Bainbridge Island. During the years he maintained many close friendships with his classmates. He always enjoyed going to the annual high school reunions for Bainbridge High where he shared fond memories of growing up on the island.
After high school, Mike served in the Army from 1965 to 1967. Mike loved people and had a successful career as a salesman. When not working, he fished for salmon and went crabbing in Puget Sound. He enjoyed camping, gun collecting and most of all driving his 1934 hot rod International pickup truck.
Family and country were precious to Mike. In 1982, the family moved from Seattle to Everett, where he resided until his passing.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife Denise, of 37 years; their adult children, Eric and Joyann; grandson Aiden; sister, Constance Golon, of Bainbridge Island; and his two Chihuahuas Sue Sue and Blazee.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Solie Funeral Home in Everett.
