$67,550 raised despite timing | Letters | May 29

On behalf of the many islanders who deal with multiple sclerosis on a daily basis, we would like to express our appreciation to the residents of Bainbridge Island for your support to the island’s third annual MS Walk. With over 300 walkers on 27 teams, $67,500 was raised compared to $73,000 in 2008.
In light of the challenging economy, this is a tremendous accomplishment!
We would like to recognize our wonderful committee and team captains, the Bainbridge High School custodians, the city staff, the police department, the Island Fitness staff, Pegasus Coffee House, Bainbridge Island Barbeque, Bon Bon Confections and our community sponsors, Virginia Mason Winslow Clinic, Island Health and Rehab and Ihland Garden Dental.
See you again on Saturday, April 10, 2010 (phew…not spring break this time)!
Trude and Mike Lisagor
Bainbridge Island
