Pressing West exhibition comes to a close

Bainbridge Arts & Crafts presents the final weekend of the exhibition “Pressing West” at the Winslow gallery.
BAC spotlights contemporary letterpress printing with an exciting roster of established and up-and-coming Northwest and West Coast artists curated by Tacoma-based letterpress artist and teacher Jessica Spring.
Letterpress has a long and storied history. The medium brings together images, text and technical mastery to express and illuminate points of view in elegant, witty, and sometimes challenging ways. Prepare for plenty of verbal play, visual punnery and outright delight.
Artists include Rhiannon Alpers, Laura Bentley, David Wesley Black, Mare Blocker, Marit Bockelie, Rebecca Chamlee, Carol Clifford, Gabby Cooksey, Taylor Cox, Jenny Craig, Katie Dean, Caitlin Harris, Lisa Hasegawa, Hukee, David Johnston and Mark Sarigianis, Myrna Keliher, Catherine Michaelis, Carl Montford, Mary-Alice Pomputius, Cat Snapp, Rory Sparks, Jessica Spring, Jenny Wilkson, Yoshiko Yamamoto, and Carl Youngmann and Ellie Mathews.
The show runs through Jan. 31.
